Buckeye Threads, Inc. was founded June of 1984 by Thomas L. Myers. The name of the company was chosen in part, because Mr. Myers is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. 30 years prior to starting Buckeye Threads, Inc., Mr. Myers held management positions in the machinery manufacturing industry, designing, building and repairing process machinery for major plastic and rubber manufacturers in the Western Hemisphere. Buckeye Threads, Inc. started at the current location with two employees, Mr. Myers, who handled the inside sales and all clerical duties, and Bob Crouch, who maintained the warehouse. In addition, Buckeye Threads, Inc. employed a part-time everything person, Thomas Myers Jr. In May of 1987, Tom Jr. graduated from college and began working full time with the company. Currently, Tom Jr. acts as President of the company. Buckeye Threads, Inc. is located in Summit County, Ohio on Cleveland-Massillon Road in the city of Norton. The location is perfect, allowing interstate access in seconds and 15 minute or less travel time to Medina, Stark, Portage, Cuyahoga and Wayne counties. |
